Job summary

Innovate Care Group in Chesham is seeking a compassionate Female Support Assistant to help a young woman lead an independent life with personalised care. The role includes non-verbal communication support and participation in activities with a supportive team.

No prior care experience is required; full training is provided. You will work across shifts, including days and nights, with a commitment to empathy, resilience and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be female due to personal care requirements.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Develop non-verbal communication skills using Intensive Interaction and Makaton Signing (full training provided).
• Support participation in community activities (farming projects, swimming, dining out, walks).
• Facilitate involvement in music projects, including collaborations with local groups and orchestras.
• Encourage confidence, independence and achievement; maintain dignity during personal care.
• Assist with meal preparation and learn diet/nutrition needs; maintain a safe home environment.
