Job summary

Innovate Care Group is seeking a compassionate Female Support Assistant to help a young woman with complex learning disabilities live as independently as possible. You’ll provide tailored practical, emotional, and social support as part of a close-knit team delivering her personalised care plan.

No prior care experience is required; empathy, resilience, and a positive mindset are valued. You’ll work flexible shifts and be fully present during your duty, making a meaningful difference every day.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; empathy and a positive mindset matter most.
• Ability to be fully present on duty with physical and mental stamina.
• UK right to work; commutable to Rickmansworth; sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Develop non-verbal communication skills using Intensive Interaction and Makaton (training provided).
• Support participation in community activities (farming, swimming, dining out, walks).
• Facilitate involvement in music projects, incl. collaborations with London Symphony Orchestra.
• Encourage independence and celebrate achievements.
• Assist with meal preparation and training in diet and nutrition.
• Provide dignified personal care as required.
• Maintain a safe environment at home and during outings.
• Work with Care-Coordinator and Clinical Lead to implement the support plan.
• Communicate openly with family and significant people to maintain trust.
• Be adaptable to changing needs and undertake other reasonable tasks.
