Job summary

Highgate Care in Macclesfield invites you to join Carmel Lodge as a Care Assistant. In this permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week), you’ll support residents with daily living, delivering compassionate, person-centred care that preserves dignity and independence.

We value warmth, reliability and teamwork. You’ll work evenings and weekends as required, receive ongoing training, and be part of a close-knit team dedicated to making a meaningful difference in residents’ lives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care setting is a bonus.
• Strong communication and compassionate approach.
• Willingness to work flexible evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support Residents with daily living tasks including washing, toileting, dressing and mobility.
• Provide care that respects dignity and independence for each resident.
• Monitor Residents’ wellbeing and report changes to senior staff.
• Assist with continence and personal care as required by the care plan.
• Record daily notes and participate in care planning as directed.
• Support Residents in social activities and hobbies to enhance quality of life.
