Job summary

Qualifications

• Level 2 in Care (or equivalent qualification or experience) for Senior Care Assistants.
• Ability to provide effective personal care with dignity (assisting with nutrition, bathing and toileting).
• Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) level to include maths and English.
• Confident with using IT and a basic understanding of Word/Email.
• Awareness of older people’s needs and some understanding of dementia.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day holistic care for residents, including personal care and mobility support.
• Assist with medications where appropriate to role.
• Maintain infection control and safe disposal of clinical waste.
• Support residents with dementia and end-of-life care.
• Handle bed linen, sorting laundry, and stock management of equipment.
• Collaborate with volunteers, Wellbeing Coordinator and therapy teams.
• Build relationships with residents, families and key workers.
• Assist with nutrition and eating/drinking.
• Maintain accurate care records and regulatory documentation.
• Participate in handovers, team meetings and supervisions.
