Bedford Citizens Housing Association is seeking experienced Care Assistants to deliver high-quality care to residents at Bedford Charter House on Kimbolton Road. Ideally NVQ Level 2 or experience in health and social care; full training provided and support to undertake qualifications.

Qualifications

• Ideally NVQ Level 2 or experience in health & social care; full training provided.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care (washing, dressing, meals) according to needs.
• Use equipment for moving, handling and weighing after training.
• Treat residents with dignity and respect at all times.
• Be the key worker for assigned residents.
• Administer drugs where trained and authorized.
• Care for residents who are unwell or dying under supervision.
• Maintain accurate care plan records and documentation.
• Attend handover meetings at the start of each shift.
• Follow Care Standards Act, Health & Safety, Fire Regulations; comply with guidelines.
• Ensure visitors are welcomed warmly; address queries or refer to a manager as needed.
• Provide mental and physical stimulation; assist in dining room, kitchen or laundry as required.
