Job summary

Alexander House Care Home is seeking a Care Assistant to provide compassionate daily living support to residents in Exeter, part of the Care Concern Group.

You will assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, following care plans and ensuring dignity and comfort. Training and ongoing development are provided, with the successful candidate required to work alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to ensure safe, responsive care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, positive environment.
• Provide training and development opportunities as part of career progression.
