Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Care Assistant for Cottenham Court Care Home in Cambridge. The role involves supporting residents with personal care and companionship, helping with meals, and providing meaningful activities to promote wellbeing.

The position is permanent, part-time with 3 or 4 days/nights per week and alternate weekends. Salary is £13.30–£14.30 per hour, dependent on experience, aligned with our caring and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Motivation, positivity and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with companionship and personal care.
• Observe and document changes in residents’ behaviour in line with legislation.
• Support nutrition and hydration per each resident’s care plan.
• Provide physical and mental stimulation through activities, in groups or individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory requirements.
