Job summary

Caremark is recruiting Care Assistants to help individuals in their own homes across Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth. You will follow care plans to promote dignity, safety and independence while delivering high-quality support.

Essential requirements include the right to work in the UK and fluent English. Training is provided, with flexible full-time and part-time shifts and DBS checks completed as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
• Experience in health or social care is desirable but not required.
• Able to work independently in people’s homes while following care plans and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing and continence care.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safe use of mobility equipment.
• Support with medication in line with care plan and procedures.
• Prepare meals and encourage nutrition and hydration.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with shopping, appointments and community activities.
• Carry out light household tasks to maintain a safe home.
• Monitor changes in health and report them to the care team.
• Complete accurate care records after visits.
• Follow safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.
