Job summary

Skycare is seeking enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to join our team. You will support people to lead fulfilled, active lives in home care, private settings, and supported living environments. The role begins with Bank shifts until a full-time position becomes available, with DBS and reference checks standard.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
• Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Able to work without sponsorship visa for at least 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest levels of care by assisting People in daily living activities.
• Support physical, emotional and spiritual needs while maintaining comfort and dignity.
• Assist People with limited mobility and use of aids.
• Monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioral needs.
• Promote continence and assist in end-of-life care as appropriate.
• Record care plans and daily notes as required by policy.
• Answer nurse-call, door and phone inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Welcome visitors and provide refreshments as needed.
• Maintain clean, tidy rooms and disposal of waste per policy.
• Assist with meals, including dietary requirements and safe handling.
