Job summary

Skycare is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant for a full-time role in Southall, London. The position covers day, night, and flexible shifts in a modern care home offering residential, nursing, dementia, and end-of-life care.

Applicants must have at least 6 months care experience, right to work in the UK, and a good level of English with basic IT skills. DBS checks and references are required before starting, with a four-week rota and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in a care role.
• Ability to work at least 33 hours per week.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate nature.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Good level of English and basic IT skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living tasks including washing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
• Provide companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.
• Assist nursing staff with care routines and monitoring residents' wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and follow individual care plans.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-focused workplace.
