Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for Southlands Care Home in Harrogate to support residents with personal care and companionship. The role is full-time with a rota including alternate weekends, offering a structured schedule and opportunities to contribute to residents’ wellbeing.

You will work with a team to deliver high standards of care, maintaining accurate care plans and reporting changes.

Qualifications

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
