Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited is recruiting for a Care Assistant on a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave at our care home. The role includes rotational weekends and 12-hour day or night shifts to deliver high-quality care and support.

You’ll work to individual care plans while providing companionship and ensuring residents’ comfort and safety. Experience caring for older people, a can-do approach, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for older people.
• Empathy and compassion in everyday interactions.
• Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Provide companionship and support to enhance quality of life.
• Follow care plans and ensure one-to-one time with residents.
• Support residents with meals and hydration during shifts.
