Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is recruiting an Alcohol Recovery Worker in Hertford, Hertfordshire, on an initial 3-month contract. You will support individuals to overcome alcohol dependency, conduct assessments, and develop personalised recovery plans, delivering one-to-one interventions and safeguarding compliant case management.

The role requires direct recovery experience and strong communication skills. Salary paid hourly via umbrella, with rates dependent on experience (£16-£18, £18-£20, up to £22

Qualifications

Direct recovery experience is essential.
Experience supporting individuals with alcohol dependency or substance misuse.
Strong communication, engagement and motivational skills required.
Compassionate, non-judgemental, person-centred approach.
Experience managing caseloads and completing assessments is desirable.

Responsibilities

Support individuals throughout their recovery journey from alcohol dependency.
Conduct assessments and develop personalised recovery plans.
Deliver one-to-one support and structured recovery interventions.
Motivate service users to achieve recovery goals and sustain change.
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
Maintain accurate case notes and follow safeguarding procedures.
