Job summary

Self Direct Support Options Fife is seeking a friendly companion for a 28-year-old male client with learning disabilities and dyspraxia. The role centers on companionship and supporting activities during the week.

You will accompany him to cafes, cinema, drama class, and swimming, providing patient, chatty support. PVG check is required; driving is a bonus but not essential. You will not perform personal care, and reliability is key to a positive, flexible approach to work.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities is preferred.
• Caring attitude, reliability and a flexible approach are essential.
• Willingness to accompany client to outings and activities.
• Driving licence is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the client to cafes, cinemas, and drama classes during the week.
• Support swimming trips and other outings; stay patient and friendly.
• Assist with walking and balance; engage socially and chat.
• A PVG enhanced check is required.
