MASS Consultants Ltd in the UK seeks a Company Security Controller to be the senior security authority, guiding how security enables growth and protects critical capability across defence tech programmes.
Based at St Neots or Lincoln, you will influence strategy, advise senior leaders, and work with MOD, UKSV and customers. You will lead governance across personnel, physical and information security, and support bids and solution teams from concept to delivery.
At MASS, security isn't an afterthought. It's embedded from concept, influences solution design, builds customer confidence and underpins the delivery of nationally important defence capabilities.
As our Company Security Controller, you'll become the organisation's senior security authority, shaping how security enables business growth, protects critical capability and supports the delivery of secure technologies.
This is an opportunity to build something lasting. You'll influence strategy, advise senior leaders, work directly with MOD, UKSV and customer security authorities, and help define how security evolves across a growing defence technology business.
As MASS continues to expand its secure services, classified capabilities and customer engagements, security requires dedicated leadership rather than periodic attention.
This newly created role provides end-to-end ownership of security governance across the business. You'll ensure we continue to meet Government, MOD and customer requirements while strengthening security culture, influencing bids and solution design, and helping security remain a strategic business enabler.
If you're looking for a role where you can lead security rather than simply administer it, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
MASS offers something different.
Unlike many Prime contractors, where security responsibilities are highly specialised, or smaller organisations where the role can become largely administrative, you'll influence security across the entire business.
Working across personnel, physical, information and protective security, you'll support more than 350 employees, alongside contractors and associates, across multiple secure locations. You'll work directly with senior leaders, programme teams and customers, helping protect the people, facilities and technologies behind nationally important Defence and National Security programmes.
You’ll provide strategic leadership across MASS's security governance, helping security enable delivery, innovation and growth. Your responsibilities will include:
Based at either our head office in St Neots, or our Lincoln office ( Training Academy)you’ll work closely with technical, operational and business leaders across the organisation.
You’ll also support across our sites, with travel to those and customer locations as required.
We're looking for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, solving complex security challenges and helping organisations operate securely.
You'll have experience working within Government, Defence or National Security environments, together with a strong understanding of Government security policy and assurance.
You'll also have experience of:
You'll leave your mark on far more than compliance.
You'll help shape security across a growing defence technology business, influence nationally important programmes and build trusted relationships with Government, customers and senior leaders. Working across environments up to UK SECRET, you'll play a key role in ensuring security continues to enable innovation, delivery and business growth.
Alongside a competitive salary of £70,000–£85,000 DOE, you'll receive:
Due to the highly secure nature of this role, you'll need to:
