MCS Group is seeking a Company Accountant to manage monthly management accounts, forecasting, VAT returns and inter-company reconciliations. You will maintain the general ledger and contribute to year-end processes, working closely with the finance team.

The role offers flexible hours up to 30 per week, a salary between £45,000 and £50,000 (Full-Time Equivalent) and a supportive environment with pension and holidays.

Qualifications

• Qualified or qualified by experience in accounting.
• Commercial experience preparing accounts.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Effective communication and analytical abilities.

The Role

The Company Accountant will be responsible for:

• Generation of monthly management accounts.
• Financial forecasting and strategic planning.
• VAT returns.
• Provide support for rest of finance team.
• General ledger maintenance.
• Inter-company, balance sheet, bank and supplier reconciliations.
• Year-end accounts.

The Person

The successful Company Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Qualified or qualified by experience.
