Job summary

MPA Recruitment is seeking a proactive Financial Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You will own key accounting activities, provide financial insights, and help shape efficient processes across the business.

The role requires ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent, 3–5 years in financial or management accounting, strong knowledge of UK standards and VAT, and proficiency with Sage and advanced Excel. You will support monthly accounts, year-end, audits, and cash forecasting.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 3–5 years' experience in financial or management accounting.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented, analytical and organised approach with strong communication and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and cash flow forecasts.

What We're Looking For-

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 3–5 years' experience in financial or management accounting.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• A detail-oriented, analytical, and organised approach, with strong communication skills and the confidence to work to tight deadlines.

Desirable
