Company Accountant - (refreshingly ace company and environment) - Superb design and architectural business - fun, cool, charming. - Financial control of a team of 1 and company accounts, supporting the Directors with a smile! We would love a fully qualified ACCA accountant from industry with experience in a thriving SME. People-centric - superb benefits and competitive salary! - Central London location, South of the River! Would suit a strong Finance Manager on the up, managing company accounts and 1 team member! £62,000-£68,000 starting salary - 25 days hols plus bank holidays, plus fantastic benefits including healthcare, EAP, company socials. Hybrid 3/2 but office-based while you learn the business & understand stakeholders and culture. (1-3 months) Flexibility / hybrid following a successful start! Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm. This is an ideal role for a fully qualified accountant, vibrant, organized, with knowledge of group account management. Someone on the up, ready to lead in all things finance for this London-based but global SME.

The Day-to-Day

• Managing all day-to-day accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, counsel, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Coordinating the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and reporting variances.
• Preparing and publishing all monthly financial statements.
• Creating reports (annual and monthly) to identify results, trends, and forecasts.
• Ensuring all transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
• Ensuring reporting compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
• Streamlining and improving operations and accounting systems.
• Managing cash flow, debt, and debt collection.
• Supervising financial department staff.
• Overseeing the audit process and liaising with external personnel.
• Supporting the business with financial strategy and decision-making.
• Assisting the COO with reports to directors and board members.
