Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is advertising a fixed term Band 4 Specialist Therapy Assistant for the Integrated Care Team - Therapy in the South and East of Sheffield, based in the community.

The role involves assessing and treating adults aged 16 and over, working with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, and managing an individual caseload in the community with regular supervision and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Evidence of formal education to diploma level or equivalent knowledge with achievement of core literacy and numeracy skills.
• Level III NVQ in diagnostic and therapeutic support/ Health and Social Care or equivalent experience
• Commitment to lifelong learning evidenced by a personal development file

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessments and manage own patient caseload with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
• Work under supervision within the Integrated Care Team in the community.
• Attend regular training and supervision to support professional development.
• Provide care in patients' home environments for 16+ with various conditions.
