East Lancashire Learning Group’s Lancashire Adult Learning division seeks a Community Teacher for Digital Skills to deliver introductory digital skills programs across floors of community venues. This role supports learners from first steps to more advanced provision, promoting confidence and practical skills with everyday devices.
The post requires experience teaching adults and a Level 5+ teaching qualification or commitment to achieve within three years.
Salary: Up to £33,336 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 35 per week
Working Weeks: 52 per year
Contract Type: Fixed-term (until 31 July 2027)

The programme will be delivered across Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley and Rossendale, with teaching taking place in trusted community venues across these areas.

Click Skills for Life is a Lancashire County Council funded programme designed to help adults develop the digital confidence and essential digital skills needed to participate fully in modern life. Working through trusted community venues, local partnerships and learner-centred provision, the programme supports adults to access online services, improve employability, increase independence and progress into further learning, training and employment opportunities. Please note that a digital specialism is desirable but not essential.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and learner-centred teacher who can deliver accessible introductory and first steps digital skills programmes, helping adults build confidence, independence and practical skills while supporting progression into further learning where appropriate.
The successful candidate will be based at our Lancashire Adult Learning site, but will require travel to community venues across identified districts.
