Job summary

East Lancashire Learning Group is seeking a Community Teacher – Counselling Skills for full-time delivery of Level 2 and 3 Counselling programmes. You will manage a caseload of online learners via the college’s online platform and travel across Lancashire.

Role requires a passion for adult learning and helping learners reach their potential within an Outstanding organisation. Interview process includes a 20-minute microteach.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCSE grade C in Maths and English
• Degree or higher-level qualification in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
• Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment)
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle to travel across Lancashire

Responsibilities

• Deliver all elements of substantial career focussed programmes including: teaching, mentoring, learner reviews, timely feedback and assessment
• Plan and prepare high-quality teaching and learning for primarily classroom and some online delivery and/or assessment
• Develop and share resources with the team
• Support, develop and assess learner work on accredited provision at a range of levels
• Complete reviews of learner progress towards achievement of individual learning goals
• Contribute towards the quality assurance processes of the team

Salary: Up to £36,428 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 35 per week
Working Weeks: 52 per year

The Exciting Role
We are looking for a talented and student focused Community Teacher to join our enthusiastic Health & Social Care team on a full-time basis, delivering on our Counselling programmes at Levels 2 and 3. The individual will also manage a caseload of online learners, accessing the learning and assessment remotely via our online platform.

Delivering various courses to adult learners, the ideal candidate will focus on embracing the College ethos that every learner will achieve their full potential and positively represent the College both internally and externally at all times. Programmes are aimed at individuals aiming to progress into the Health and Care sector or prepare them for further and higher education towards employment in a range of pathways.

This role will be based at our Waterside Centre in Accrington however, travel across Lancashire will be required.

Please note that if you are successfully shortlisted for interview, the process will involve the delivery of a 20-minute microteach. Details of the topic will be shared with you following confirmation of shortlisting.
