Job summary

Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking a Community Support Worker in Carlisle. Permanent roles are available for full-time or part-time hours. The role offers an hourly rate of £13.68 and includes sleep-in shifts with £43.12 extra per night.

  • Assist with personal care, medication and everyday tasks as needed.
  • Work includes sleep-in shifts with an additional £43.12 per night on top of hourly pay.

In Supported Living, every person has their own home and their own goals, and your role is to help them achieve them. You might be supporting someone to develop life skills, build routines, stay connected with their community, or simply feel more confident day-to-day. Alongside emotional support, you may also help with personal care, medication, or everyday tasks, always encouraging independence and choice. No two days look the same, and every shift brings a new opportunity to make someone's life brighter.

You'll also take part in sleep-in shifts that provide overnight reassurance and support when needed, with an additional £43.12 per night on top of your hourly pay.

DBS Checks

This role requires a DBS check. The level of check for this role is - Enhanced DBS Check with a Adults Barred List check.
