Job summary

Eviqa Complex Care in Taunton is hiring a Bank Support Worker to provide 1:1 community support for adults and young people. You’ll help with outings, appointments, and social activities, building independence and confidence while staying safe.

We offer £14–£15 per hour, weekly pay, evenings/weekends extra, 45p per mile, DBS refunded after 50 hours, full training with a paramedic-led team, and a supportive on-call structure.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence and access to a car with business use insurance.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply (refunded after 50 hours).
Right to work in the UK.
Able to work some evenings, weekends or nights.
Experience supporting someone with additional needs, paid or unpaid, at work, in your family, volunteering or in education.
Experience with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, brain injury, children or young people is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

1:1 support in the community: days out, appointments, hobbies, social time.
Helping people build independent living skills and keep their home.
Short breaks for disabled children and young people.
Being a familiar face beside a child or adult in hospital.
Alternative education support and mentoring.
Short-notice cover when social care teams need someone they can rely on.
