Independent Living Solutions Ltd. in Brighton is seeking a compassionate Community Support Worker to help a wheelchair-using client with daily care, therapy activities and mobility. You will follow care plans, promote independence, and coordinate with health professionals.
The role includes domestic tasks, dog care, driving in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, and flexible hours. A DBS check, the Care Certificate, and training opportunities are provided; start ASAP subject to checks.

Job Summary
Our client was born in 1977. He experienced two significant injuries during his lifetime which has led to an acquired brain injury and spinal injury and he has been a wheelchair user since 2005. Our client lives in his fully adapted wheelchair accessible bungalow with his pet dog. His mother and father living locally. His interests include football, cooking, seeing his family and using his home gym.
He has support workers every morning and evening to provide practical hands‑on support and encouragement and he has three sleeping night shifts a week provided at present, though this may be subject to change.

We assess individual needs and are able to provide a comprehensive Case Management and Rehabilitation Service designed to maximise independence. Our Case Managers work closely with our Clients, and we carry out all the recruitment processes on behalf of our Clients; and will support you, from your initial telephone interview right through to arranging employer interviews, trial shifts and placement.
If you are successfully recruited, you will be employed directly byour client or their Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection . However, ILS will manage your day to day employment, providing you with the support you need to carry out your role. Working as a Carer or Support Worker for an ILS client means that you will have a dedicated Case Manager to oversee your client's care needs.
