An exciting opportunity has arisen for a health care support worker to join the North East Fife locality District Nursing Team (Ladybank/Newburgh base).
You must have excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player with a genuine interest in community work. Previous community experience and phlebotomy skills are advantageous. Patients are seen at home and in care homes to deliver high-quality nursing care.
The team focuses on preventing unnecessary hospital admissions, supporting early discharge, and enabling patients to remain independent at home. You will support the District Nursing Team in delivering evidence-based treatment and care to housebound patients.
Applicants should have relevant knowledge and experience; an SVQ is desirable. The service offers supervision and training opportunities.
You must be willing to travel across the Fife division and provide evening cover as needed. The role involves working within a 24/7 community nursing service, including weekends and public holidays.
