Job summary

Care By Us Welham Green is recruiting for three Care & Community Support Workers to deliver preventative breaks across Hertfordshire. You will be employed on a six-month fixed-term contract, 40 hours weekly, with the potential to go permanent.

Must drive and travel between locations; £13.51 per hour plus mileage and enhanced Bank Holiday rates. Join a community-minded team, support unpaid carers, attend events and build local connections while delivering home care and engagement activities

Qualifications

• Availability to work 40 contracted hours per week.
• A driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work.
• Willingness to travel across Hertfordshire.
• Existing right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and practical support reflecting each person’s needs, preferences and routines.
• Offer companionship, conversation and meaningful activities.
• Support personal care with dignity, privacy and choice.
• Keep records and communicate clearly with carers and colleagues.
• Help raise awareness of the Preventative Breaks Service when not delivering visits.
