We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in West Sussex to assist with the appointment of a Community Support Casework Team Manager, on a 5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £22.72 - £28.62 per Hour

Summary:

West Sussex County Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Community Support Casework Team Manager to lead a locality-based team supporting Ukrainian refugees. This role is central to our mission of delivering coordinated and responsive support under the Homes for Ukraine scheme, ensuring individuals and families are empowered to thrive in their new communities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a locality-based team providing targeted support to Ukrainian refugees.
• Develop and implement robust service plans and case monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage performance, supervision, development, and wellbeing of staff.
• Chair multi-agency meetings and ensure refugee voices inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. social work, health, education, community development, or family support), or equivalent experience.
• Chartered status with a professional body (or equivalent high-level professional experience).
• Significant experience in managing or delivering support services to vulnerable individuals or communities.
• Strong background in refugee resettlement, education, community support or similar settings.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and deliver quality outcomes.
• Valid full UK driving licence and ability to travel independently across the county.
