Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to join the Lower Lea Valley Integrated Community Team in Cheshunt. The role covers services from 08:00 to 22:00, seven days a week, with full training and support provided.

A driving licence and access to a car are essential for community visits and multi-site duties. The successful candidate will work within a friendly team, delivering evidence-based nursing care, and benefit from ongoing supervision, education

Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse to join the friendly Lower Lea Valley Integrated Community Team which provides care to patient in Cheshunt and surrounding areas. The service covers the hours of 08:00 - 22:00 7 days a week.

If you are a student nurse, we would welcome your application, working in an acute Trust is not compulsory before gaining your first position in the community as we provide full training and support.

We also welcome applications from acute nurses who are looking for a community based role.

Main duties of the job

The post offers varied and interesting community experience in a well supported environment and is an ideal opportunity for a nurse interested in working in the community. Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, provide and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for a wide range of conditions. The team covers a 7 days a week service and therefore a flexible approach to working is required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Providing a high standard of patient care using evidence based framework. The post holder is a member of the Integrated Community Nursing Team and may take responsibility in the absence of the Community Nursing Sister for the team and caseload.
