Job summary

Enable Leisure and Culture is seeking an experienced Sports Assistant to join the Leisure team at Barn Elms Sports Centre in London. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing bookings, and supporting a welcoming, inclusive environment for the local community.

You will handle reception tasks, cash handling, and daily facility maintenance, while coordinating with clubs, schools and partners to promote activity.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide excellent customer service and inclusive support.
• Experience with booking and reception duties in a busy leisure environment.
• Comfort handling cash and operating simple tills.
• Able to work as part of a team and manage conflicting priorities.
• First aid awareness or certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Answer queries from the public and manage bookings.
• Take entrance fees, operate booking system, and balance tills.
• Support daily operations and maintain clean, safe facilities.
• Prepare facilities for training and events, mark pitches as needed.
• Liaise with clubs, schools and officers to promote use of facilities.
• Attend to deliveries and ensure security at lock-up times.
