Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Community Sports Facilities Coordinator to lead on managing and promoting community access to pitches, courts and facilities. The role covers bookings, inspections, invoicing and developing community use agreements, with a focus on safe, well‑maintained facilities and increased participation across the area.

You will build relationships with clubs, schools and community organisations, support seasonal maintenance, and help deliver health and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and administration skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience working with partners, stakeholders or community organisations.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Flexible, solution-focused approach and ability to manage a varied workload.
• An understanding of health and safety within public facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating bookings and allocations for sports pitches and facilities.
• Building strong relationships with clubs, schools, councils and community groups.
• Supporting community use agreements and shared-use arrangements.
• Carrying out facility inspections and reporting maintenance issues.
• Monitoring facility usage and identifying opportunities to increase participation.
• Supporting funding applications and facility improvement projects.
• Delivering excellent customer service and acting as a key point of contact for users.
