We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Community Safety Officer on behalf of a well-established housing association, on a temporary contract in Liverpool for a minimum of 3 months.
This is a hybrid role, covering the Liverpool region, paying up to £24 per hour with the option to be paid PAYE or Umbrella, and mileage reimbursement when travelling from home.
Your new role
- Triaging, investigating and resolving cases of anti-social behaviour, hate crime, safeguarding, nuisance and other tenancy breaches.
- Instigating all court actions, including full injunctions & possession proceedings, self-representing at court in all cases.
- Using a range of early intervention & legal remedies to tackle and minimise future cases.
- Visiting victims, perpetrators and witnesses in cases of ASB, nuisance and harassment, ensuring evidence is collected, and witness statements are taken to aid legal cases.
- Representing the group at liaison meetings, including joint action group meetings, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and other external partners.
- Responding to complaints and queries from local MPs regarding tenancy enforcement issues.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working within a tenancy enforcement role within housing, with a good level of experience in legal processes where legal representation is required including hearings and pleadings.
- Good knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy & housing management including ASB, crime and disorder.
- Familiar with relevant legal paperwork and experience of taking witness statements/gathering evidence.
- Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance.
