Job summary

Social Interest Group (SIG) is seeking a dedicated Support Coach to join our Criminal Justice Services team in Havering, supporting residents recently released from prison and helping them reintegrate into the community through tailored support plans.

You will work to build trust, deliver life-skills activities, and maintain strong risk-management practices to protect the public while achieving service KPIs.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage own caseload and prioritise with time management.
• Experience with people from complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, or substance misuse.
• IT proficiency and ability to learn new software; basic MS Office.
• Understanding of key legislation in social care, housing, criminal justice and mental health.
• Cultural awareness and openness to feedback.
• Alignment with SIG values: Ambition, Empowerment, Inclusivity, Transparency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and wellbeing of residents at all times.
• Engage with residents and ensure license condition compliance; plan activities.
• Hand over with night colleagues for a seamless service.
• Build trusting relationships and help residents achieve goals via sessions and activities.
• Empower residents to take control over their lives and meet personal goals.
