Job summary

Surrey Downs Health and Care is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our community therapy team. You will support rehabilitation services across physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy, delivering care in patients’ homes, clinics and community spaces to help people regain independence.

Working in a multi-disciplinary setting, you will manage a small caseload under supervision and contribute to evaluation of progress, while maintaining safeguarding

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent English and Maths.
• Valid UK driving license with access to a car for business use.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clinical staff, managers and patients.

Responsibilities

• To provide rehabilitation support services.
• To undertake specific skilled support work to aid rehabilitation of patients in the Community.
• To carry own patient caseload, assessing and treating routine patients within guidelines.
• Work unsupervised reporting back patient progress and informing the treating therapist of any problems.
