Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Community Rehabilitation Assistant in Bournemouth. The role focuses on delivering rehabilitation in patients' homes and supporting independent living within the Intermediate Care Team.

Flexible working options are available within an 8am-8pm service over seven days. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team, gain hands-on experience in acute rehabilitation, and may rotate into the Dorset Healthcare Frailty

Qualifications

• Completion of the Care Certificate is necessary.
• Ability to undertake training to carry out clinical skills such as venepuncture and ECGs.

Summary

We are looking for a Community Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Christchurch and Bournemouth Intermediate Care team (CBIC). We are a team of Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Assistant Practitioners and Community Rehabilitation Assistants. We are able to offer flexible working options including compressed working days within our 8am-8pm service over 7 days per week.

The team works to prevent avoidable hospital admissions, enable earlier discharges from hospital and provide acute rehabilitation for a wide variety of conditions. The team is integral to the Dorset Healthcare Frailty Hospital at Home service and the successful candidate will be working within this service regularly as part of their remit. The team's caseload comprises of a wide variety of medical problems including orthopaedic, cardiac, neurological, respiratory and multi pathology.

The role will include delivering a high standard of rehabilitation-focussed care to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidate would also be expected to undertake training to be able to carry out clinical skills such as venepuncture and ECGs.
