This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join Newark & Sherwood LMHT as part of the community transformation programme, aligned with the long-term plan for community services. The transformation includes opportunities to develop skills within SMI pathways (mood affective, complex psychosis, community rehabilitation & non-psychosis including the Cluster 8 & Trauma Pathway).
We are particularly interested in candidates with skills and experience working with adults with diverse mental health difficulties requiring complex case management and clinical interventions.
You will have access to training and opportunities to develop your skills across all relevant LMHT Pathways. Our team is supportive and experienced, working within a recovery and psychologically informed model.
This is a fixed-term contract for 9 months, ending in March 2026.

The post involves working with patients and their families to support referral triage, assessment, care planning, and providing specialist interventions. You will promote recovery and work with partner agencies and primary care to ensure timely and safe discharge from secondary care.
This leadership role requires developing specialist skills across all team pathways, supporting students and junior staff through supervision and mentorship, and potentially line managing staff.
We seek enthusiastic team players with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing complex cases in partnership with other agencies.
