Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board in Wales is seeking a Dental Nurse to join a busy Maxillofacial Department across two District General Hospitals. The post is fixed term/secondment for 36 months to cover a secondment.

You will provide direct and indirect patient care, deliver pre- and post-treatment instructions, assist in four-handed dentistry, and help supervise learners under the oversight of the Senior Dental Nurse. Welsh Desirable language skills are encouraged.

Job description

The post is that of a Dental Nurse and the post holder will be expected to undertake duties in a busy Maxillofacial Department in two District General Hospitals. They will carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care for the benefit of the patient/client in accordance with agreed protocols. This post is fixed term/secondment for 36 months to cover a secondment. Anyone wishing to apply for the post as a secondment must seek approval from their Line Manager before applying.,

  This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. Whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means being able to communicate in Welsh during routine clinical situations, such as welcoming patients, discussing straightforward aspects of their care and answering routine questions.
