Job summary

Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust is seeking a proactive Social Inclusion role to lead on the Premier League Inspires programme and school-based projects across Hertfordshire and Harrow. This maternity cover runs 12 months from January 2027 with potential extension subject to funding.

You will manage delivery, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with education teams, fundraising, and schools to maximise impact and inclusivity for vulnerable young people.

Qualifications

• Youth work or mentoring qualifications.
• GCSE Maths and English required.
• Experience working with young people (11-18) and families/guardians, including vulnerable groups.
• Examples of developing projects in public/private/voluntary sectors (youth/community).
• Experience of safeguarding procedures including reporting concerns and risk/data assessments.
• Experience building effective relationships with schools, councils, funders or other stakeholders.
• Experience demonstrating impact and/or completing reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, organise, promote and deliver all elements of the Premier League Inspires programme to a high standard.
• Monitor delivery against financial and impact targets and ensure KPI’s are achieved.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to grow secondary education provision.
• Work with Fundraising Officer on funding applications to grow delivery and support core costs.
• Provide required reporting to Premier League Foundation and other funders.
• Ensure inclusive approaches to raising educational attainment for young people and support pathways.
• Organise meetings, training and presentations to promote Trust programmes.
• Ensure all young people on the programme have a positive experience.
• Support strategic planning across Trust areas and contribute to Leaders/Managers groups.
