Job summary

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting Community Support Officers to join the Prevention Team. The role focuses on delivering prevention activities, advising colleagues and partner agencies on high-risk issues, and engaging with youth programmes to reduce fires and emergencies across Warwickshire.

Ideal candidates will be well organised with strong communication skills, comfortable talking to diverse communities, and able to work Monday to Friday 09:00–17:00.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and engagement skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups.
• Comfort talking to people and asking questions.
• Fluency in English required as per public sector duties.
• Ability to work 09:00–17:00, Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities

• Assist with prevention work and safety initiatives.
• Provide expert advice and feedback to colleagues and partner agencies on high risk issues.
• Assist with Youth Engagement Programmes.
• Delivery of Warwickshire intervention for Safety awareness and Fire Education (SAFE) and adhere to case management protocols.
• Coordinate multi agency events and assist in their delivery.
• Assist with the Hospital to Home Service when required.
• Understand and adopt the Core Code Of Ethics; communicate clearly with the public.
• Work as part of a team with diverse people and attention to detail.
• Be available to work 09:00hrs to 17:00hrs, Monday to Friday.
