Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Podiatrist to join the community Podiatry Service. The role involves working primarily in locality podiatry teams with scope to support across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

You will operate from multiple sites and may have full- or part-time hours with compressed options. The role offers opportunities for specialism in MSK or Nail Surgery, career development, and mentoring of students and junior staff.

• Responsibilities cover assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of podiatric care across a wide patient group.
• Active involvement in nail surgery rota and MSK pathways where relevant.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate podiatric care across a varied patient group.
• Participate in the departmental rota for nail surgery as appropriate.
• Assess and identify risk factors, categorise patients into risk bands per service matrix.
• Plan day-to-day workloads for home visits and visits to elderly/residential settings.
• Provide foot health education to patients, relatives and carers; train primary and social care staff where applicable.
• Contribute to development of departmental policies, guidelines and protocols.
• Maintain stock and equipment securely and in compliance with procedures.
• Follow departmental policies and make clinical decisions within professional boundaries.
• Be flexible to cover colleagues in other local areas and undertake other duties as required.
• Travel around the county using own vehicle; hold a full UK driving licence and meet time deadlines.
