Job summary

Merton Council is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support residents in maintaining independence within their own homes in the Greater London area. You will work under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist to assess needs and deliver interventions that enable safe, independent living.

The role focuses on community-based assessments, practical guidance for daily living, and arranging equipment or minor adaptations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting assessments of residents with lower-level needs in the community
• Providing advice, guidance, and practical solutions to support daily living
• Recommending and arranging simple equipment and minor adaptations
• Assisting with referrals for more complex or major adaptations
• Working closely with Occupational Therapists to deliver effective support plans
