Job summary

Leicestershire County Council’s Occupational Therapy Tailored Individual Care Team seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to assess and support people to maximise independence in daily living. You will manage a varied caseload, deliver moving and handling interventions, and work collaboratively with families, carers and partners.

Using a strengths-based, person-centred approach, you will promote safety, dignity and choice, respond to urgent needs, and contribute to high-quality practice

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience in social care or community OT settings.
• Advanced knowledge of moving and handling, equipment provision, and adaptations.
• Ability to undertake complex assessments, risk management and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive OT assessments and deliver interventions.
• Manage a varied caseload, including high-risk cases.
• Promote independence, safety and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with families, carers and partner organisations.
