Job summary
NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Community OT to assess housebound adults in their own homes within Redbridge. You will use evidence-based therapy techniques as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred assessments and interventions.
The role involves establishing treatment plans, equipment provision and minor adaptations, supervising Band 3 & 4 Rehabilitation Assistants, and deputising for Band 7 Team Leads while supporting pre-registration
Qualifications
- Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Experience delivering home-based assessments and interventions.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans.
Responsibilities
- Specialist community OT assessments in clients' homes.
- Establish and evaluate treatment plans.
- Equipment provision and minor adaptations.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Supervision of Band 3 & 4 Rehabilitation Assistants.
- Deputising for Band 7 Team Leads.
- Deliver day-to-day patient care and data entry.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with Trust policies.
- Participate in team meetings and service improvement.
