Job summary

Croydon HealthServices NHS Trust in Croydon is seeking a Band 4 Nursing Associate/Associate Practitioner to work 30 hours per week. The post involves independent practice under a Registered Nurse in patients' homes, with an emphasis on evidence-based nursing care and community delivery.

A Foundation Degree in Healthcare Practice is required, plus excellent communication and teamwork skills. We offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing development, and a driving licence with use of a car for work.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Clear legible handwriting.
• Willingness to undertake further training relevant to this post.
• Recent experience working as a health care assistant within Community Nursing Service or Primary Care.

Responsibilities

• Work within the NMC Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates to meet patient needs.
• Deliver nursing care to a specific group of patients under guidance of a Registered Nurse.
• Organise own time and supervise junior staff and learners.
• Participate in teaching and education programmes for staff and patients.
