Community Nursery Nurse - Community Services Bury

We are seeking to employ a dynamic, forward thinking nursery nurse who has an awareness of contemporary policy documents relating to the development of Children's Services and the Public Health Agenda.

Main duties of the job

We are currently looking to recruit a qualified Nursery Nurse to join our developing, enthusiastic and dynamic Health Visiting teams.

Youwill participate in the delivery of high quality service provision that promotes and improves health visiting and addresses inequalities. Working in collaboration with the Health Visitor / Children's Services Locality Lead you will work within a skill mixed team to facilitate a culture of learning and reflective practice.

Qualifications
  • BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Early Years
  • CACHE Diploma in Child Care and Education Level 3 (2 year course)
  • NVQ / SNVQ Level 3 in Early Years and Education
  • NNEB Diploma
Experience
  • Multi-disciplinary working.
  • Team player willing to promote the team/service ethos.
  • Able to contribute to service development.
  • Ability to manage the delegated workload and prioritise.
  • Recent experience of working with other agencies including the Voluntary and Community Sector
  • Knowledge and experience of ASQ
Knowledge
  • A sound knowledge of child development.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults.
  • Understanding of confidentiality.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to provide quality care that is responsive to client needs and to work in partnership.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to plan and organise activities.
  • To undertake appraisals/PDP of junior staff.
