Job summary

Intrepid Healthcare in Swindon is actively recruiting experienced Registered General Nurses (RGNs) for flexible agency roles in the community. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in patients' homes and local settings, enabling independence and wellbeing.

Working independently within multidisciplinary teams, you will assess needs, administer prescribed treatments, monitor conditions and maintain accurate records while adhering to infection control and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Provide nursing care to patients within their own homes and community settings.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely.
• Undertake wound care, dressing changes and pressure area management.
• Perform venepuncture and manage clinical observations.
• Monitor patients with long-term conditions and identify signs of deterioration.
• Provide catheter care and management where competent.
• Support patients with complex healthcare needs.
• Promote patient independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Liaise with GPs, district nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Escalate clinical concerns and safeguarding issues appropriately.
