Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Hull. The role uses your nursing or allied health background to perform PIP functional assessments and write comprehensive reports, with a hybrid model combining home and assessment centre work.

You will work with registered nurses or HCPC‑registered professionals, with 1+ year UK clinical experience and strong report-writing skills. The position includes structured hours and ongoing clinical support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Are you an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
