Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when including regional and national services.

If you do not have a current live NMC PIN number, you will not be shortlisted for this Registered Nurse vacancy. Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

The post holder will deliver comprehensive, specialist nursing services for clients diagnosed with First Episode Psychosis within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

The role includes leading partnership efforts within the mental health network, both internally and externally.

You will be responsible for profession-specific clinical governance activities within the Early Intervention team, including monitoring standards of care, staff support, ongoing education, clinical supervision, and policy implementation.

You will manage your own community caseload and supervise Support Workers and students within your team.

The aim is to promote recovery by maximizing engagement, involving families and carers, reducing symptoms, minimizing hospital stays and use of the mental health act, decreasing incidents of self-harm, and enhancing social functioning.

Applicants must be Registered Mental Health Nurses.
