Job summary

With You's Argyll and Bute Community Links is recruiting a part-time Community Link Worker to be based in GP practices across Dunoon and wider Cowal. The role requires traveling between locations to offer 1:1 and small group support for people facing complex social and emotional challenges.

You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, receive induction and training, and help people access services addressing health inequalities and poverty in a rural setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with people facing complex social and emotional circumstances including mental health difficulties.
• Ability to work in a structured service, follow a service model and collect impact information.
• Strong interpersonal skills for 1:1 work and ability to learn recognised therapeutic techniques.
• Knowledge of poverty and health inequalities and impact of rurality on health.
• Ability to build relationships with GP practices, Social Work, Mental Health Services and Money Advice.
• Experience creating and maintaining community connections and networking.
• Ability to work independently while following organisational policies.
• Ability to manage workload and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Holding a driving license and access to a vehicle.
• SVQ level 3 Social Services and Healthcare or equivalent preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Join GP practices across Dunoon and wider Cowal; travel between locations.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to help people achieve health and wellbeing goals.
• Deliver in-person, home visits, and remote support via telephone or online platform.
• Attend team meetings and reflective practice sessions.
• Support referral partners and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
