Job summary

ENABLE Scotland is seeking a Community Link Worker to join the Communities Team across Dumfries & Galloway and the Biggar area, with travel between locations required. The role supports adults with learning disabilities through two key projects: digital inclusion and accessible travel, helping people develop practical skills and independence.

The post focuses on person-centred support, building confidence, expanding social networks, and improving health and wellbeing within local communities.

Qualifications

• Friendly, engaging, and person-centred in their approach.
• Confident working one-to-one and facilitating groups.
• Experience delivering group activities or community-based work.

• Enjoys working in local community settings.
• Has basic understanding of digital skills.
• Can build strong, trusting relationships with a wide range of people.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging programmes across two projects: digital inclusion and accessible travel.
• Provide person-centred support to help participants develop practical skills and independence.
• Strengthen participants communication skills and expand social networks.
• Support health and wellbeing and access to opportunities within local communities.
