Job summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking a Community Library Hub Manager to lead three library hubs across Birmingham. The role focuses on strategic development, day-to-day operations, and driving services that connect residents with housing, welfare, digital inclusion, and wellbeing support.

You will collaborate with council services, voluntary groups, and external partners to strengthen community resilience and improve outcomes, while managing teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Community Library Hub services, teams, and partnerships.

• Oversee budgets, resource management, and service planning.
• Lead initiatives that support digital inclusion, employment, training, welfare support, and community wellbeing.
• Inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional services and positive outcomes for residents.
• Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-focused service delivery.
